After the Labor Day holiday, Sept. 3 starts the first work week City Council President Todd Gloria will be serving as acting or interim mayor of San Diego.
In 37 states, there will be an election for governors. This means that if a man or woman is not pleased with the current person, the voter has a chance to make changes. If a voter thinks she or he is doing a fantastic job, and is pleased with the current governor, this is the opportunity to show it. Choosing a governor is an issue. Every governor is going to be forced to choose between cutting programs and raising taxes and fees, or a little of both. The incoming governors can ascertain whether a Democrat or Republican will hold power in the state legislatures and the U.S. House.
